Central Station in Sydney has undergone a major refurbishment, including extensive lighting upgrades throughout the precinct. As part of the redevelopment, thousands of outdated and inefficient fluorescent tubes were replaced with the latest energy efficient LED technology.

These upgrades form a key component of the station’s Green Star 6 star rated redevelopment, which also includes new lighting across the Northern Concourse, platform areas, and the Western Forecourt.

The improvements focus on enhancing safety, security, and sustainability, while carefully preserving the station’s rich heritage character.
